recognition from both Make A Wish of Suffolk County and Pronto Long
Island for supporting the groups' fundraising efforts by donating a car
from the West Islip-based dealership to be raffled off.
The Make
A Wish event was held on Thursday, May 3 at Villa Lombardi's in
Holbrook, and was attended by more than 700 guests. Toomey was also

NY Auto Giant Awards $30,000 for Slap Shot UNIONDALE,
NY - NY Auto Giant hit the ice Saturday afternoon at the Nassau
Coliseum during the New York Islanders game against the Ottawa Senators.
The NY Auto Giant Puck Shoot contest offered up big excitement and lots
of difficulty, which for one lucky fan proved not only surmountable,
but also drivable.
Mike Mann, of Huntington, N.Y., scored big as
winner of the intermission contest which placed eight Islander
"chuck-a-puck" winners at the far blue line - 114 feet away from the
goal line - and invited them to try their skill at hitting a puck into
the net. There was no goalie and the open face of the net was entirely
covered except for a hole, the size of the puck itself, through which
the winning shot had to pass.
To the audible cheer of fans, and shocked faces of the New York
Islanders Ice Girls, Mr. Mann scored and won the grand prize from NY
Auto Giant, a $30,000 credit from the dealership applicable toward any
car he chooses.
Atlantic Auto Group Vice President Michael
Brown said, "It was such an exciting moment, as much for us as it was
for Mr. Mann. We have such a great relationship with the New York
Islanders and their fans. It was a perfect opportunity for us to give
the fans a real challenge and offer them such a rewarding prize which in
this case was any car they wanted from us. I couldn't be happier with
the results of the contest and I'm eager to do something like this again
in the near future."
According to a press release posted on
the New York Islanders' website, Mr. Mann said, "I followed the same
idea as a golfer, just following through and aimed at the target. I was
shocked when the puck actually slid through the small space in front of
the goal. It was unbelievable."
Contestants became eligible to compete for the free car from
NY Auto Giant
by becoming finalists in the chuck-a-puck contest: Fans purchased five
pucks during intermission and threw their pucks at a target at the
rink's center; the closest puck won half the money collected from all
pucks purchased. The other half was donated to the Islanders Children's
Foundation.
With multiple locations in both Nassau and Suffolk counties,
NY Auto Giant provides outstanding service to make all car purchases a memorable experience. To learn more, visit //www.NYautogiant.com

Atlantic Auto Group, have served the community and organizations. They
are being honored again, this time at the Telecare Thirty-Second Annual
Golf Classic.
LONG ISLAND, N.Y. - The Atlantic Auto Group has
been fortunate to give back to the community in many different ways.
Along with the multiple dealerships being involved with supporting
organizations such as the Brain Tumor Society, Make a Wish Foundation,
and Pronto, an organization on LI that feeds over 69k LI'ers, two of the
Atlantic Auto Group's officers have yet again been honored for their
continued community support and donations.
In March 2012, it was
announced that both John Pickett, Chief Operating Officer of Atlantic
Auto Group, and Michael Brown, Vice President of Operations of Atlantic
Auto Group, would be the honorees at this year's Telecare Golf Classic
on Monday, May 14.
"Both men play an integral part in the
community, and are generous with not only with their donations but their
time as well," stated President and CEO of Telecare Reverend Monsignor
James C. Vlaun in the March announcement. "I have known Michael and John
for a number of years, and can attest that they are two men of faith,
family, and vision who I am proud to honor."
The Atlantic Auto
Group is proud to see its officers being honored for the work they have
done in the community and encourage others to join the event on May 14.
Brunch will be from 9:30 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. with Tee Off at 11:30 sharp
and finally ending with the reception from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Anyone is able to support Telecare by either taking a sponsorship, a
foursome, or by taking our ad in the golf program. There will also be a
raffle for a chance to win $10,000 cash and also the chance to play side
by side with the honorees on the green.
