It’s National Sandwich Day!

There are a lot of strong opinions out there on what constitutes A Sandwich.  Are you of the classical mindset that it must contain two fluffy but lightly toasted pieces of bread, a nice seasoned spread, some crisp veggies, a salted meat, and a strong cheese?  Are you bold enough to consider a hot dog or quesadilla or even a calzone a sandwich?  Do you prefer to call it “A sub” or “A Hoagie?”

And then there’s the nuanced debate of cold sammie options or a toasted melt or grilled cheese…It’s enough…

Remember Me: Celebrating All Souls Day or Dia De Muertos 

November 1st and 2nd are part of the Dia De Muertos Celebrations, also known as “All Soul’s Day,” to commemorate and celebrate the lives of family members and friends who have passed away.  This two day festival is most notably celebrated in Mexico, but it’s also celebrated across Central and South American countries, as well as places such as Los Angeles, California with large Latinx communities.

Today is National American Beer Day and we’d like to share a list of great local businesses that could use your support.  If you’re purchasing beverages for holiday shindigs, consider ordering from these fine local establishments and shopping small.
 

Remember, when attending local breweries and beer tasting events, ensure that you plan ahead to have a Designated Driver.  Consider using a rideshare service or taking public transportation instead.  Driving drunk is never the right choice.  Buzzed driving is still drunk driving. Drive sober or get pulled over.
