Welcome to this month’s edition of the Community Calendar for Long Island families! We’ve got lots of fun for kids and families to enjoy together, and a few outdoor activities and social events for adults as well. March 6th at the East Hampton Library enjoy a session of “Kids For Kids” where teen volunteers link up with local LI children and families for arts and crafts, tutoring sessions, puzzles, and more. Sessions are geared for kids ages 6 through 10 on Saturday mornings through March 26th.
On Saturdays and Sundays through March 13th at the Long ISland Childrens Museum, enjoy a performance of Lyle the Crocodile for an afternoon of family fun and then enjoy exploring the museum afterwards!
On Tuesday March 8th at the Staller Center of the Arts, enjoy a fun music evening for the whole family at the Family Orchestra Concert from 7:30 to 9:30.
On MArch 9th from 1:30 to 2:30PM at the Sayville Library, enjoy a family friendly arts and crafts event with music and movement in the March Lion event at the Children’s Activity room! There will be seasonal crafting and plenty of excitement. Registration in advance is required as space is limited; siblings are allowed to attend but must be notated on the registration form.
On MArch 9th at the Bay Shore BRightwaters Public Library , enjoy an in-person and zoom virtual book discussion of “The PAris Library.Click here for more information about the Fireside Book Discussion.
On Thursday March 10th from 1:30 to 3PM at the Jones Beach Energy and Nature Center in Wantagh, children aged 6-12 can enjoy a magical program of wizardy and science fun! Cast a spell with your very own circuit wand and see the magic in front of your very eyes.
March 12th in Babylon at the Nathanial Conklin House you can head outdoors for some fun adn sunshine from 9AM to 5PM for the Babylon Village Scavenger hunt! Complete your missions and earn points to climb the leaderboard and win! Prizes awarded to the top tier teams. Great for families or adults to play together.
On Monday March 14th from 4:30 to 5:30 at the Sayville Library, children from grades K-2 who are library cardholders can enjoy an in-person story and craft session with a St Patrick’s Day Theme.
On March 12th from 10AM to 12PM in Oakdale, kids and families can get together at the Connetquot River State Park Preserve to learn about the colourful Sugar Skulls in created by Frida Kahlo. Enjoy an afternoon of creativity after the lesson to make your own!
On MArch 18th from 7PM to 8PM at the Moon Goddess Studio in Huntington, enjoy a Full Moon Meditation and Painting Night with Alycia. Participate in the guided meditation and relaxation session, and then a guided creative session with a step by step painting.
On Sunday March 20th at St Peter’s by-the-sea Episcopal Church in Bay Shore, enjoy the JS Bach Festival from 2PM to 4PM.
On March 26th at the Nassau Veterans Memorial Coliseum in Uniondale is the Spring Craft Beer Festival from 2:30 to 6:30. Bring your friends and enjoy a laid back day enjoying the fine brews and fresh air. Get your tickets here.
On Sunday March 27th at the hyatt Regency Long Island, enjoy a really wonderful day of fabulous music and dance performances via the Step Up 2 Dance Tour.
On Wednesday March 30th at 6PM, head to the Constantino Brumidi Lodge in Deer Park for a variety of DAnce Music, socializing, and dancing!
