We’re back with our community calendar for February, and we’ve got a great selection in particular of Family Friendly events! You’ll find lots to do for little ones and fun for the whole family as well. But never fear, there’s some events for adults to get a night out on the town and kick back to relax.
Running now through May 29th, check out the Age of the Dinosaurs exhibit at the Long Island Children’s Museum. Exhibit is included in the $14 museum admission.
Running Monday through Friday through February 28th, sign your 4-7 year olds up for the Young Gates Kids Online “Coding for Little Curious Minds” course. More info here.
Tomorrow, February 3rd, head over to the Merrick Library for a Take and Make Lunar New Year Craft for free. Open from 10AM to 4:30 Feb 3rd to Feb 8th for kit pickup.
This Friday, February 4th, bring the kiddos for “Valentine’s at Once Upon a Treetop.” Perfect for littles aged 1 ½ to 4 years old. Priced at $35 with a take home Bee themed valentines card, cupcake decorating, and storytime session. Two sessions to choose from, registration required.
Saturday February 5th at 11AM, visit Theatre Three in Port Jefferson for a rendition of “Puss-In-Boots” for kids 3+. Check it out here.

February 11th is a great day to stop by Blue Midtown for the Afropolitan NYC Black Heritage Experience. It’s a Mixer for Black Professionals to network and socialize and connect with culture and community. Proof of vaccination is required and advance registration can be done here.
February 13th is a wonderful day to enjoy a day of creativity with local artist Poy Granati for a Paper Flower Making workshop and beer tasting at Destination Unknown Beer Company. Tickets are $50 and includes supplies and a flight of craft beer.
