It’s National Walking Day!

  • Walking is one of the most popular form sof exercise in the United States!

  • The average human walks at a speed of about 3.1 miles per hour.

  • Brisk walking is good for your health; it is shown to reduce body fat, lower blood pressure, lowers your risk for heart disease, and is considered low-impact activity for joint issues.

  • Walking outside in the sunshine with proper sun protection is a great way to absorb some Vitamin D naturally.

  • Walking is excellent for your mental health, too!  Studies show that it improves your mood, helps clear your mind, and can even provide you with mental stimulation to boost your creativity.
