Today is World Gratitude Day, and we here at Atlantic Hyundai would like to take a moment to say a big thank you not only to our customers and clients, but also to our community. We are proud to be a part of Long Island, of New York State, and we wish to thank our leaders, educators, essential workers, and labor force for all of their hard work and dedication over the last year and a half. We know that things have not been easy; tensions are high, stress has been plentiful, and many of our loved ones experienced sickness and loss. But we have made it through the toughest of times thanks to the support of local communities caring for one another and coming together to keep each other safe.
Thank you to all of our employees who went above and beyond the call of duty and worked tirelessly to keep things going here in our offices and sales floors as well as out in the world. Thank you to those who have volunteered countless hours and dollars to ensure their neighbours, friends, classmates, and coworkers were well taken care of. On this World Gratitude Day, we’re forever grateful to be a part of a community that has so much love and empathy.
In addition to World Gratitude day, we’re also celebrating International Peace Day and encourage you to support the United Nations in their quest to build strong relationships and cultivate a safer, cleaner, brighter future for our future generations.
International Peace Day is an annual event supported by the United Nations intended to bring together global citizens in a united front for peace, unity, and community. It’s important we work together to build a future which includes all of humanity and cares for our planet, our home.
To celebrate, the New York Concert for SDGs in conjunction with the 76th United Nations General Assembly and International Peace day is hosting a special music event. It will take place at Michiko Studios. Doors open at 7:15PM and the event begins from 7:30 through 9:30PM! Find more information about it here.
This year, more than 1,000 young people will lead events all over the world including “Pop-Up Peacerooms” across 6 continents, linked together from a central event on Youth Island in Denmark. The purpose of these Peaceroom events are for our youth to lead the way in creating lasting change and propose functional solutions to global issues. You can create your own Peace Day Pop-Up today, too! Click here to learn more about it.
In addition to youth-led events, Peace Rooms are popping up all over the globe with intergenerational attendees. The purpose of these sessions is to unite the aging population with our youth to create a positive impact and create a catalyst for change in generations to come. Through the power of creativity, Peace Popups will help promote positive messaging through performance art, improv sessions, mural projects, art exhibits, and more! You can learn more about the intergenerational assembly here!

Hyundai is Committed To Building a Brighter Tomorrow with the “for Tomorrow” Initiative
Continuing with the conversation about making a positive impact, Hyundai has also been working together with community leaders and organizations to create lasting change. Hyundai understands that accessibility and sustainability go hand-in-hand. When we all feel safe, when we all know our homes and communities are protected, loved, and supported, we can more easily come together for times of peace and contemplation. And that is why Hyundai created “for Tomorrow.”
By providing global communities with transportation, resources, and education is how we build a brighter future together. In collaboration with the United Nations Development Programme Accelerator Labs and other public and private institutions, Hyundai has created the “for Tomorrow” initiative. Whether it’s recycling and upcycling, promoting sustainable building and manufacturing processes, contributing to preservation of global cultural heritage, and creating more opportunities for clean, renewable energy, Hyundai is doing its part to keep our great green Earth safe for generations to come.
It is our hope that through projects such as World Gratitude Day, International Peace Day and initiatives like “for Tomorrow,” we will be leaving the world a better place than we found it for our upcoming children and grandchildren and so on. Here at Atlantic Hyundai, we are proud to be a part of the Hyundai family, and we share the sentiments for a greener future, peaceful and empathetic conversation amongst our peers, and we truly support a united global community.
