Happy Holiday Lights Displays For The Whole Family to Enjoy
It’s the First day of Hanukkah, and we’re wishing you all a happy holiday filled with love and light! And since it’s the festival of lights, we also thought it would be only fitting to share a list of great holiday lights displays you can visit with the family over the next few weeks. Check it out and get into the holiday spirit no matter what you celebrate or when. We’ve got some beautiful family friendly events and destinations that are sure to bring cheer and excitement to your whole crew.
Great Local Light Displays for the Holidays in the Long Island and NY Metro Area
Now through January 2nd 2022, enjoy the Magic Of Lights Holiday experience at Jones Beach.
Now through January 31st 2022 come and enjoy “Accumulations: Hanukkah Lamps” at the Jewish Museum on the Upper East Side. Explore Jewish history and culture with the world’s largest collection of exquisitely crafted Hanukkah lamps. Admission ranges from $8 for students to $18 for adults; members and children under 18 are free on Saturdays! Tickets are required in advance.
November 28th at the Chabad Center for Jewish Life in Merrick at 4PM, come on out to the LIRR Station for the lighting of a 12-foot Menorah, dancing, juggling, fresh made latkes, and much more! Suggested donations of $18 per household, and advanced registration is required.
November 28th at the Chai Center in Dix Hills bring the whole family to celebrate with the Menorah Car Parade and Menorah Lighting starting at 6PM. It’s an all ages event with free admission. The Menorah lighting will be at 6:45PM and includes live music, donuts, latkes, and fun family entertainment.
November 28th from 10AM to 11AM in East Hampton, head over to the Chabad of the Hamptons for a glow-in-the-dark party, a dreidel spin off, and much much more. It’s free to attend but advance registration is required. Aimed at families with kids 5 through 11.
Monday November 29th from 6PM to 9PM come out to Wollman Rink on the Upper East Side and join a public family friendly skate event with a DJ and a live band! You can participate in the public menorah lighting and grab a delicious Hanukkah boxed meal and delicious Hanukkah donuts. $22 tickets if booked online, $30 if you require skate rental included. $28 on day of at the event, and $35 with skate rental on day of.
November 29th enjoy the Festival of Lights Drive-Through in Commack at the Gurwin Jewish Nursing & Rehabilitation Center from 6-9PM. Event Repeats on 11/30, 12/1, 12/2.
On November 30th from 5PM to 6:30PM at the Menorah Lighting Ceremony at Harborfields Public Library in Greenlawn. It’s an all ages family friendly event with community fun for everyone.
December 1st starting at 6PM, head over to the Babylon Town Hall Park in Lindenhurst for the Annual Holiday Tree-Lighting Ceremony.
December 2nd starting at 6PM in Great Neck, head over to The Village Green at Middle Neck and Beach Roads to celebrate Hanukkah with music, dancing, doughnuts, and fun for the whole family! It’s free to attend and everyone is welcome
December 2nd at the Chai Center, come join the Friendship Circle Chanukah Extravaganza with CTeen!
December 4th is just for the grownups, so leave the kiddos with their fave relative or babysitter, and head on over to the Chai Center for the Chanukah Night of Comedy. Reserve tickets by Monday November 29th in advance!
December 5th from 9:30AM to 11:30AM at the Chai Center, bring the whole family with arts and crafts, games, and activities. There will be donut decorating, sand art, and Chanukah crafts for families. It’s fun for all ages and there will be lots of fun and games for all.
December 18th at Greis Park in Lynbrook, come join in the fun for the drive-through Wonderland of Lights event at 5PM.
December 23rd from 5PM to 10 PM in Valhalla at the Kenisco Dam Plaza enjoy the Winter Wonderland Drive-Thru Holiday Light Extravaganza. $35 per car for 1.2 miles of holiday light displays including two massively festive 30-foot snowflakes!
