Many schools and workplaces have already anticipated and opted for remote learning for a post-holiday start, and coupled with the holiday break that means a lot of togetherness indoors. So we’ve come up with a fun list of places you can visit right here on Long Island when you need a break from cabin fever! The Pencil aka the Jones Beach Water Tower
Take a family walk in the fresh air and stroll across the boards.
This tall tower is an iconic Art Deco style local landmark punctuating the wide open blue skies, and also extends more than 1000 feet into the ground! It’s certainly an impressive stop-off.

The Gold Coast Mansions and Coindre Hall Park
Get a taste of fresh air while being socially distanced as you enjoy the photo ops along the grounds of Coindre Hall Park and the various Gold Coast Mansions in the Huntington Area. Coindre Hall is a uniquely picturesque and memorable destination! Great for taking family photos with views of Huntington Harbor and the Long Island Sound.

Although the structure was in need of repair during 2020, efforts have been underway to preserve the Star Gazer sculpture. It’s still a wonderful stop-off for those looking to see something unique, and perhaps take some interesting backdrop photos for family portraits or fun selfies for “the gram.”

Take a relaxing day trip over to Montauk State Park and listen to the soothing sounds of the ocean. Survey the peaceful skyline and appreciate the Montauk Lighthouse at the end of hte island while you appreciate the endless possibilities for growth and creativity during 2022. A gorgeous stop off for winter photography opportunities as well.
