Let’s get creative over the holiday break! Break outside of your comfort zone and try something new before the year is over, and check off the last few of your New Years Resolutions. Creative Classes, Events and Workshops
Stop by the Islip Arts Council and see what’s on deck for their new creative workshops or virtual events.
Try one of the wonderful sessions or workshop series by The Art Studio DIY in person or online, and for adults or teens. There’s lots of options to choose from!
Enjoy a lovely day of Storytime and a make-and-take craft for Story and Art at LICM for kids ages 5 and Under; it’s just a $4 admission per session. There’s also lots of options for workshops, classes, and lots of creative outlets for kids.
Head over to the Art League of Long Island on December 21st for an Open Studio afternoon between 1PM and 4PM with Donna Harlow Moraff.
On December 26th, drive over to Patchogue’s AR Workshop for a Chunky Knit Blanket workshop from 11AM to 2PM and keep cozy and warm all winter long.
On December 28th from 11AM to 1PM, drop off your teenager for an afternoon of wood working and creativity at the AR Workshop in Smithtown and they’ll return with a beautiful decorative art piece!
Hop over to the Vanderbilt Museum from 10AM to 12PM on December 29th for a fun filled arts and crafts workshop to make a twinkling nature inspired snow globe with your little ones.
Waltz over to Painting with a Twist in Selden for a lovely evening of painting class from 7PM to 9PM on December 30th.
Grab a DIY Artwork Kit and host your own Painting with a Twist class at home to do any time during the Winter Break with a virtual class video and all the supplies you’ll need.
